Educational Dimension of Sustainable Development: Analytical Review
This article provides an analytical review of research related to Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG4), which focuses on ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. The study examines 106 articles published between 2019 and 2023 in the journal Educational Dimension, evaluating their relevance to SDG4 targets.
The findings indicate that the journal contributes significantly to areas such as the integration of emerging technologies in education, curriculum design, teaching methodologies, and teacher professional development. However, gaps remain in addressing certain SDG4 targets, including scholarship expansion, education for sustainable development and global citizenship, and support for marginalized groups.
The study highlights the need for greater geographical diversity, interdisciplinary approaches, and broader collaboration in educational research. It concludes that academic journals play a crucial role in advancing evidence-based policymaking and supporting the achievement of global education goals.
